‘My Head Hurts’, But Let’s Go See Wavves at August Hall on 11/17

Wavves is a popular American rock band that was formed in 2008 in San Diego, California. It was originally conceived by Nathan Williams, and the band has since added guitarist & backing vocalist Alex Gates, bass guitarist & backing vocalist Stephen Pope, and drummer & backing vocalist Brian Hill to the roster. Williams had originally started Wavves as a solo project, releasing its first release Wavves to great promise and attention from collectives like Pitchfork Media and other outlets. However, after experiencing some bumps in the road, Wavves eventually came back stronger than ever with another release, King of the Beach. Since then, the band has released two more albums.

Most recently, Wavves released You’re Welcome in 2017. However, since then, Wavves has also teased a number of new records. They were also set to celebrate the tenth-anniversary of King of the Beach with tour dates in Australia and North America. Most notably, Wavves will be coming to the Bay Area to perform at August Hall on November 17th for all of their Bay Area fans. Be sure to catch Wavves there and continue to follow MXDWN for all your music updates.
