‘Open Your Eyes’ and Go See STRFKR at The Regency Ballroom on 3/23/21

STRFKR is the popular musical solo brainchild of Joshua Hodges established in Portland, Oregon in 2007. However, the band quickly grew to include more members. Most recently, the band’s lineup was composed of vocalist, keyboardist, guitarist, & drummer Joshua Hodges, bassist, keyboardist, & drummer Shawn Glassford, drummer, keyboardist, & vocalist Keil Corcoran, and guitarist & keyboardist Arian Jalali. The band name had initially been Starf*cker, a name that had started as a joke but became a reality as the band garnered increasing success under this name. Over their career, the band has released six albums, four EPs, and more. Their music has been used frequently in commercials, television shows, films, and more.

Since then, the band has most recently released their album, Future Past Life, in April of 2020. STRFKR had started as an example of music being able to get into the social politics of society and attempting to change things instead of entertainment turning a blind eye. Not only that, STRFKR details complex concepts in their music like love, death, mortality, and the end of the world. All of this will be able to be seen live on March 23rd in the year 2021 at The Regency Ballroom. Be sure to catch them there and continue to follow MXDWN for all your music updates.

I hope to one day work at the intersection of public relations, brand management, marketing, and music. Thanks for reading!
