‘School’s Out’, Catch MEMBA at The Independent on 9/18

MEMBA is an up-and-coming NY-based production duo changing the game for the electronic music industry. Composed of Ishaan Chaudhary and Will Curry, the duo is using their one of a kind style fused with their cultural upbringings to bring content to the music industry that has never before been imagined. Behind each track lies a profound meaning; for example, in MEMBA’s debut single “XILLA!”, MEMBA means to highlight the chaos of life and death, the ups and downs, and the series of meaningful accidents that life really comprises. Their later single “Flash” is symbolic of the bright, positive side of humanity. One of their most popular songs, “For Aisha”, is a heartfelt eulogy to Ishaan’s younger sister, Aisha, who passed away at age eighteen from pulmonary fibrosis.

In all of MEMBA’s music, influences from many sources can be found. Influences from the duo’s home they found in New York, cultural influences, childhood influences, family influences, and more. But one thing is clear, MEMBA’s music is solely to deliver the message about finding happiness and content from life, to see the big picture amidst a cloud of minute details. And you’ll be able to see all of this at The Independent on September 18th when MEMBA comes to the San Francisco Bay Area. Be sure to catch them there and continue to follow MXDWN for all your music updates.
