Vibe Out with Buscabulla at The Independent on 8/4

Buscabulla, also known as “troublemaker” in Puerto Rican, is a musical duo known for their distinctive indie dance-pop and electro influences, mixing reggaeton and other Boricua beats. Composed of Raquel Barrios and Luis Alfredo Del Valle, the duo first met in 2011 at a house show and a quick romance ensued. This relationship also sparked a professional one, and the two were soon making music. From their first self-titled debut EP, Buscabulla, to their second EP, EP II, Buscabulla soon achieved rapid success. When hurricanes Irma and Maria devastated their home country of Puerto Rico, Buscabulla also began using their musical talents for good, releasing singles and content aimed to renew Puerto Ricans’ hopes and dreams.

Through one of these songs, “Vámono”, Buscabulla not only delivered hope but also a taste of the duo’s new debut long-player, Regresa, with its video. This album is notably about acceptance of one’s self and one’s country with each and every flaw either may have. Be sure to continue to follow Buscabulla on their rise to fame and continue to follow MXDWN for all your music updates. Catch Buscabulla at The Independent on August 4th.
