Fast paced, light hearted punk is just the kinda sound you’ll get from Teenage Bottlerocket. The band was instrumental in creating the skater music that dominated the early 2000s. Their lyrics are mixed with humor and a sarcastic melancholy feeling. The band started out in 2000, and quickly expanded from the small population of Wyoming to touring the world.
The band began with their debut EP A Bomb, in 2002, opening for several bands in Wyoming and picking up traction. From there they went on a Summer Midwest tour in 2004 to promote their album, Another Way, and gained a new permanent member of the band, Kody Templeman. From there on out they started touring the nation and the world, and went on to create 7 more studio albums and 5 more EPs. Their newest album, Stay Rad! Came out just last year, and keeps what is so lovable about the band, while adapting and innovating with the times.
If you’re a fan of skater rock, you’ll want to see one of the great pioneers in the genre live, to reminisce about the 2000s, while remembering that skater rock never dies.
