KALEO is a popular Icelandic rock band that originally formed in 2012. Its current lineup is composed of lead vocalist and guitarist JJ Julius Son, drummer David Antonsson, bassist Daniel Kristjansson, and lead guitarist Rubin Pollock. Since their formation, the band has released two albums, Kaleo in 2013 and A/B in 2016 as well as an EP called Glasshouse in 2013. A/B was released to much success, garnering over a million sales worldwide and their song “Way down We Go” reaching double platinum status. KALEO has also received a Grammy nomination for Best Rock Performance. Since then, the band has been working on their new long-awaited album, Surface Sounds.
Since their inception, this relatively young band has achieved great success and recognition. It seems the only way for KALEO to go is up. Which is why it’s a no-brainer to catch them at The Warfield on October 16th.
