Starting in 1992, Shiner quickly caught great traction within the post-punk/alternative rock scene, growing loyal fans, and producing a consistent sound that they’ve made their own. After playing together for a decade, the band decided to split in early 2003, after playing one last show together. Every couple of years, the band has reunited to play for their loyal fans, and after a reunion in 2018, Shiner decided that they weren’t quite done together, and moved to revive the band.
Since then, the band has created their newest studio album, Schadenfreude, released in May this year. The album has a dark undertone, but not without a silver lining. The album has 8 tracks that stand on their own apart from the band’s past, to reveal how each of them have come back together to make the sound they knew couldn’t die.
Make sure to see the product of a long awaited reunion. Whether you’re a loyal fan, or a newcomer, don’t miss Shiner’s next chapter live.
