Juice @ The Subterranean (8/13)

With a wide range of musical influences, including rock, pop, R&B, and Hip-hop, there’s something for just about everyone who listens to Juice. The band has a large roster with 7 musicians, three of which are vocalists. This allows them to compose and perform complex harmonies, with expansive and ambitious sound. Their chemistry is fun, and lighthearted, great for hyping you up, and finding encouragement.

The band formed in 2013, after their members met as freshmen at Boston college, winning their school’s “Battle of The Bands” they knew this was something they needed to pursue further. In 2016, Juice created their first self-titled EP, winning yet another competition in Milwaukee. In early 2017, the band released their next EP Workin’ on Lovin’, which had their popular single, Sugar.

Experience a 7 man symphony live with Juice, an experience anyone will enjoy, with their lively harmonies, and elaborate beats.

MacGregor Salmon: Transfer student from Texas A&M to Loyola University Chicago, I am a Film and Digital Media major. Though my primary study is in film, I love all things creative and want to immerse myself in all kinds of mediums. Sharing and discovering music with others has always been an important part of my relationships with others. I grew up on funk, and the first song I can remember hearing is Sir Duke by Stevie Wonder. I still have much love for funk, but I also lean towards alternative, jazz, and anything experimental as I love to hear how new artists are changing the music scene. I find myself on Soundcloud often, looking for creative new works by independent artists. I also consider myself to be a writer, I love to write creative short stories, but I also want to use my skills as a writer to further my appreciation and understanding of music, and the artists behind their work.
