Get Out of ‘Bed’ and Join J. Holiday at Yoshi’s Jazz Club on 9/4

Nahum Thorton Grymes, better known as J. Holiday, is a popular American singer-songwriter, rapper, and actor. Born and raised in Washington D.C., J. Holiday held a deep interest in music early in his childhood, singing in church and in his high school’s showcase. His early influences were Jodeci, Boyz II Men, Tupac, and more. Soon after graduation, J. Holiday began pursuing music, recording demo tapes independently. J. Holiday released his debut album, Back of My Lac’, in 2007 to great acclaim and record-selling success. Since then, J. Holiday has released two more albums, Round 2 and Guilty Conscience. The second album was a decent success, but the third album only achieved moderate recognition.

Since the releases of his first three albums, J. Holiday finally announced an upcoming album, Time, that has yet to have a release date. A supporting single for the album, “Feel Like”, was dropped and an upcoming tour called “Underrated Part I” was set and began in 2019. However, the Bay Area date of the tour is scheduled for September 4th after a postponement due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Be sure to catch J. Holiday at Yoshi’s Jazz Club on September 4th and follow MXDWN for all your music updates.
