‘Free at Last’ to see PUP at The Regency Ballroom on 10/14

PUP is a Canadian rock band that was formed in Ontario, Canada in 2010. But since then, PUP has achieved great acclaim in not only their Canadian home but also internationally, making waves all around the world. Although the band was formed in 2010, the band members – bassist Nestor Chumak, guitarist Steve Sladkowski, and drummer Zack Mykula – have known each other since childhood, becoming friends during elementary school and high school. It was during a school project that the idea to form a band came to fruition, with the group originally being called Topanga. After releasing the Topanga EP, the group began performing live, eventually deciding to change their name to PUP.

Since then, PUP released their self-titled debut album in 2013, released their sophomore album in 2017, released a third album called Morbid Stuff in 2019. The band has also achieved great success awards-wise, being nominated for or winning major Canadian contests like the Juno Awards and the Polaris Music Prize. On October 14th, however, PUP will finally come to the Bay Area. Scheduled to perform at San Francisco’s The Regency Ballroom, the band will perform their greatest hits for a Bay Area audience. Be sure to catch them at The Regency Ballroom on October 14th and continue to follow MXDWN for all your music updates.
