The Oakland Arena has long been a pillar of the Bay Area music scene since its opening in 1966. Every Bay Area native knows that this arena is the center of the Bay Area’s music movement. It’s seen the likes of Elvis Presley, Queen, KISS, and other legendary musical acts on its stage.

But the old world will meet new on August 3rd when Toronto native, The Weeknd, will perform for close to twenty-thousand audience members. The three-time Grammy Award-winning and Academy Award-nominated R&B singer first released his debut mixtape, House of Balloons, in 2011 to critical acclaim. And since then, The Weeknd has released four albums, won three Grammy Awards, eight Billboard music awards, and more. His most recent release is After Hours, and it is for this album that he will be embarking on The After Hours Tour to promote this new album. The first Bay Area date on this tour will be at the Oakland Arena on August 3rd. Get tickets now and more updates on MXDWN.COM
