Yesterday, 02/18, Korn & Faith No More announced their co-headlining North American Tour. Tagging along with the two iconic bands at this stop will be both Daron Malakian and Scars on Broadway & Spotlights. Korn needs little to no introduction as the founding fathers of nu metal since their debut album in 1994. Alongside San Francisco natives, Faith No More, the innovative energy of their fusion of multiple genres is guaranteed to keep fans on their toes. These bands are set to rock the Shoreline Amphitheater on August 14th. Presale tickets are available now, while public onsale will begin on the 20th. Tickets are ranging from $49 for general admission – $299+ for VIP; including a few more packages in between. The show begins at 6:00 PM.

Daron Malakian and Scars on Broadway is a band founded by the guitarist of System is Down. Their most recent album released in 2018, Dictator, is decorated with some of their fan favorite tracks such as “Till the End”, “Lives” and “Talkin’ Shit”.

Spotlights is comprised of a trio of instrumentalists who all bring something new and interesting to the table. The beauty behind this group is not how multitalented each member of the group is but their ability to mesh their talents together on tracks such as “Learn to Breathe”

Faith No More is second to none when it comes to creating their own unique sound.  With their ability to blend elements of metal, rock, funk and hip hop; Faith No More has validated their sound as a jack of all trades. There is beauty behind the band discovering the delicate balance between all four genres to create a sound that cannot be easily replicated.

KORN, the founders of nu metal, have a whole wall of awards and accolades to validate their impact on the culture. But, the beauty behind this band transcends the accolades and the Grammy’s in their possession; it is in the influence and their reach. They consistently are challenging and evolving what their sound is defined as; keeping fans excited and inspiring new artists.

Malik Bey: I'm an East Coast native who took on the adventure of living in the Bay Area for the last few years. I'm currently in the process of developing a social media website that will allow all kinds of artist to collaborate on projects and have a safe space to exhibit their art. In my spare time, I create a playlist series called "DRINK WATER"; which is a creative take on exposing listeners to refreshing new music. This series is a collaborative effort from me and a few other music lovers with the purpose of getting more music lovers to contribute to the playlist. I also DJ around the bay area from time to time; feel free to ask me about some of my live sets. But overall, I'm just a music connoisseur who loves talking and writing about music.
