Tove lo has made me a firm believer that some `habits’ are just hard to break. 6 years later and “I gotta stay high, all the time, to keep you off my mind” still resonates with us. Well…maybe not high ALL the time…I dont think out 6 year older bodies can get over hangovers like we used to. Tove Lo is set to close out February at the Masonic with her “Sunshine Kitty” Tour. On 02/27, accompanied by Broods and Alma, the three artists plan to take us on an emotional rollercoaster of feels. Tickets are currently on sale for $35 – $45; depending on seating. What’s unique about ALMA is that she brings a beautifully soulful voice to electronic music; a combination that has everyone on edge for her debut album. With tracks like “Chasing Highs” and “Good Vibes” we are really in for a night of dancing to very heartfelt lyrics.
The captivating vocals of Georgia Nott and the melodic production of Caleb Nott make up the brilliance behind BROODS. BROODS is mostly known for the dark electronic sound which is balanced out by soothing mellow vocals. Their latest album, “Don’t Feed the Pop Monster” is decorated with tracks like “Peach” and “Everything Goes (Wow)” that beautifully blends their iconic style with more uplifting and energetic sounds. BROODS may even surprise us with a live performance of their latest feature on San Holo’s record “Honest”.
Tove Lo needs no introduction; her music has been a part of all of our “I just broke up with my significant other” starter packs for years. A few weeks ago, Tove Lo blessed us with a new track called “Bikini Porn”. On this track she tries something different and replaces her usual electronic sound with an afro beat; giving us track that is both energetic and fun. You can hear the track below:
