New Method to the Madness: San Holo’s Live Band Debut at Bill Graham on 03/21

What better way to kick off March than with a little bit of Madness? If you need a break from crying over how jacked up your NCAA bracket selections are, San Holo alongside Manila Killa and Slow Magic will be uplifting spirits at Bill Graham on Saturday, March 21st. General Admission tickets are ranging from $35 – $45 depending on how early you purchase them in advance. Doors open at 7:00 PM.

Slow Magic is a duo known for layering some of the smoothest vocals over a unique ambient sound; leaving fans in a feeling of bliss. On their song “Girls”, they loop gentle vocals overtop uplifting electronic melodies. Slow Magic introduces and masterfully meshes different instrumentals throughout the song, adding and subtracting different layers, leaving the listeners with beautiful highs and mellow lows. “Girls’ takes you on a journey and is a good representation of the genius behind the duo.

Manila Killa is a producer who, as his name implies, takes his electronic influences from his roots; the Philippines.  Manila Killa is known for his mellow sounds that gives his listeners a sense of escapism. On his song “Tonight” that he produced with Kidswaste, he uses vocals from Chelsea Cutler to produce a record that entirely feels like running away in search of adventure.

The genius that has given us iconic tracks like “Light” and “We Rise” plans to show us the methods to his madness on March 21st.  If debuting his sound with a live band wasn’t enough, San Halo adds more to the madness by blessing his fans with a new track called  ́ ‘Honest”. Honest features captivating vocals from Broods over top San Holo’s unique electronic sound. Over the last couple of months, San Holo has released “Lead Me Back and “Lost Lately”; two songs that equally demonstrates how San Holo’s sound is evolving. Now accompanied by a live band, I am anxious to see the heights his sound will elevate to. I can’t think of anything madder than San Holo debuting his new music live than with an actual band? You can hear his new track “Honest” below:

Malik Bey: I'm an East Coast native who took on the adventure of living in the Bay Area for the last few years. I'm currently in the process of developing a social media website that will allow all kinds of artist to collaborate on projects and have a safe space to exhibit their art. In my spare time, I create a playlist series called "DRINK WATER"; which is a creative take on exposing listeners to refreshing new music. This series is a collaborative effort from me and a few other music lovers with the purpose of getting more music lovers to contribute to the playlist. I also DJ around the bay area from time to time; feel free to ask me about some of my live sets. But overall, I'm just a music connoisseur who loves talking and writing about music.
