On Thursday, March 13th you can catch Tame Impala with Clairo at the Chase Center in SF. General Admission tickets are on sale February 9th at 12PM. Tickets are ranging from $39.50 – $99.50; depending on proximity to the stage. You may have heard the soft and soothing vocals of Clairo on tracks such as “4EVER” or “Flaming Hot Cheetos”. Her sound is smooth, captivating and very much like flaming hot cheetos; addictive. This explains why I ended up seamlessly listening to her entire album, Immunity, from beginning to end. Her lowkey and melodic energy is the perfect sequoia to the Tame Impala’s psychedelic electronic sound.
5 years in the making; the Slow Rush lives up to its name. Leaving “Currents” fans in a limbo of anticipation for the album and appreciation for the amount of time put into the record. In the last six months, Tame Impala has been everywhere; headlining shows from Coachella to ACL to Lollapalooza. In preparation of the new album release, Tame Impala have slowly been releasing singles, one of which is titled “It Might Be Time”. “It Might Be Time” sounds like a masterful fusion of pop and electronic music that gives the track an overall 70’s feel. If this song is a proper reflection of their upcoming album, then I think Tame Impala may potentially have one of the most captivating albums of 2020.
