Ani Difranco Announces Winter 2020 Tour Dates with Jesca Hoop

Folk rock musician, feminist and activist, Ani DiFranco has announced her Winter 2020 tour starting Feb. 7, with Jesca Hoop. DiFranco is popularly recognized for her benefit concerts and lending her platform to represent various social issues and movements, such as women’s rights, lgbtq+ rights and racism.

Earlier last year, DiFranco promoted women’s reproductive rights through her live performance of  “Play God.” The song is featured on her nineteenth album, Binary, which was released in 2017. The song was released as a tribute to those whom were directed affected by the anti-abortion legislation that was introduced and passed in Alabama and Ohio.

DiFranco also recently played at the Eaux Claires Festival in late November alongside Jon Hokins and Justin Vernon. The festival was held in Eau Claire, WI to a select crowed, as there were only 500 tickets available for purchase at the time.

DiFranco will be kicking off her tour on Feb. 7, in Breckenridge, CO, at the Riverwalk Center. The tour will be featuring songs from her most recent album, Binary, release through Righteous Babe Records.
