Sia Releases New Song “Original” from Dolittle Soundtrack

A week before audiences can see Iron Man himself talk to animals in Dolittle, Australian popstar Sia released her latest single, “Original,” off the upcoming film’s soundtrack.

Dolittle stars Robert Downey Jr. in the titular role, with Martin Sheen and Antonio Banderas in supporting live-action roles, and features a plethora of heavy-hitter voices, including  Emma Thompson, Rami Malek, John Cena, Kumail Nanjiani, Octavia Spencer, Tom Holland, Craig Robinson, Ralph Fiennes, Selena Gomez, and Marion Cotillard.

The film is based on the second book featuring the character, The Voyages of Doctor Dolittle. Unlike the late ’90s Eddie Murphy films, this adaptation strives to stay true to the original books with its adventurous feel and period piece setting.

Dolittle is set to release nationwide Friday, Jan. 17, 2020.

Sia hasn’t released a solo album since 2017’s Everyday Is Christmas. In early 2019 she released LSD, collaboration with Diplo and Labrinth. Last year saw another collaboration as Sia linked up with producer and rapper 88-Keys for “That’s Life,” featuring the late Mac Miller, according to Pitchfork
