Hot Snakes Announce West Coast Winter 2020 Tour Dates

San Diego based band Hot Snakes are kicking off 2020 with a West Coast tour, slated to begin February 27th in Phoenix, AZ. Other tour stops include Las Vegas, Seattle, Oakland, and Fresno before concluding near the hometown in Solana Beach, CA. See the full list of tour dates below.

The post-hardcore band recently debuted a new single called “Checkmate,” their first new track since their 2018 album Jericho Sirens via Sup-Pop records. The album also marked the band’s first release of new material in 14 years, with their previous effort being 2004’s Audit in Progress.  They recently wrapped their eight-show summer tour earlier this year.

Hot Snakes consists of members Rick Froberg  Gar Wood, John Reis, and drummers Jason Kourkounis and Mario Rubalcaba. Reis and Froberg had played together in the band Pitchfork from 1986 to 1990. Following that they formed Drive Like Jehu, which landed them a record contract with Interscope Records. Since forming Hot Snakes in 1999, they released their debut LP Automatic Midnight in 2000 and their sophomore album Suicide Invoice in 2002 via Swami Records, a record label founded by Reis. After disbanding in 2005, the band then reunited in 2010 at The Casbah in San Diego, CA and performed their hits “If Credit’s What Matters I’ll Take Credit”, “Automatic Midnight”, and “No Hands.”
