Brazilian heavy metal group Sepultura have debuted a new single and lyric video titled “Last Time,” which will be featured on the band’s upcoming studio album release Quadra. This upcoming album will be released as a CD-digipak 2 CD + Blu-ray Earbook, Black vinyl LP, Picture vinyl LP. Silver vinyl LP (limited to 500 pieces), Crystal clear vinyl (limited to 300 pieces) and Glow in the dark vinyl LP (limited to 300 pieces, Impericon exclusive).
“Last Time,” is a straightforward thrash metal affair with quick drums, fast guitar and bass breakdowns and harsh vocals, with some moments of melodic guitar riffs. The lyric video shows the band performing in the studio as the lyrics are displayed across the screen.
“‘Last Time’ is a song that many can relate to or have encountered people that are trying to overcome an addiction,” the band’s guitarist Andreas Kisser stated in a press release. “In the times that we live in it’s a struggle that we all must face.”
The band recently announced their Quadra tour dates, which will take place next year with the support of bands such as Sacred Reich and Crowbar. This tour will begin at the House of Blues in San Diego, California on March 18th and will wrap up at the Ventura Theatre in Ventura, California on April 22nd.
Sepultura made headlines earlier this year after being banned in the country of Lebanon over accusations of devil worship, and “insulting Christianity.” While the middle-eastern nation is predominantly Muslim, the country has a sizeable Christian population.
