Rock band Silversun Pickups have announced a set of Winter 2020 North American tour dates, in support of their latest album release Widow’s Weeds, which debuted earlier this year. This upcoming tour will see the band tour in such cities such as Los Angeles, Austin, and Washington D.C., with two further shows scheduled at New York City’s Brooklyn Steel.
Eliza & The Delusionals are confirmed as the support act on the February dates of this upcoming tour. The band recently wrapped up a set of summer 2019 tour dates, with several shows taking place across the west coast, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Vermont.
The band’s frontman Brian Aubert recently had a conversation with mxdwn regarding the band’s new album, where he discussed performing at festivals, recording Widow’s Weed’s and the band’s transformation throughout the years.
“Listen, at the end of the day, we are always sort of, if you love that record and you love everything about Swoon, let’s say, our second record and that’s the one you like, you have it,” Aubert explained. “There it is, and enjoy it. We’re not going to do that again. There’s a through line in all of it, because there’s a sound that’s going to happen when the four of us play that we can’t move that core, because that’s how it happens. But, we can try and dance as far away from it as we can, knowing that there’s still going to be an anchor, another through line through it all.
