Gone Is Gone Return with Video for New Song “No One Ever Walked On Water”

American rock band, Gone Is Gone, premiered music video for their new song “No One Ever Walked On Water,” on Dec. 13. The song was originally released on Dec. 12, via the band’s YouTube channel.

The song starts with a tv, covered in static, with heavy riffs and a deep voice to set the tone of the song and video. The video shows images of flowers growing and dying, bloody flowing through a bathtub and colorful lightning bolt, shining the night sky. As the vocals calm, the video becomes steady, images stop flashing and the anticipation is set. When the riff starts, the images start progressing.

“Flashes of color and bending of light,” sings Troy Sanders, vocalist and bass guitarist for Gone Is Gone and Mastodon. “Finally, now I feel something.”

As the video nears the end, red and black become the main colors. Blood is frequently shown, words are flashing across the screen, and the jellyfish change colors. The video ends by displaying a vast ocean, flowing into serenity.

Gone Is Gone was formed in 2016, in Los Angeles, CA. Sanders assumes the role of the vocalist and bassist, Troy Van Leeuwen as the guitarist, Tony Hajjar, originally from famous band At the Drive-In, as the drummer and Mike Zarin as the keyboardist, guitarist and backing vocalist.

Gone is Gone seldom plays live show, their last show was at the Cloud Hill Festival, in Hamberg, Germany, on Nov. 30. Before this festival, the band last played their show at the Fundraiser Art Auction, in Los Angeles, CA, featuring artists such as Cedric Bixler from At The Drive-In and Lynn Gunn from PVRIS.

“The professionalism of these musicians is hard to top and with the songwriting and performing ability of the four artists, it is no surprise that they have integral roles in some of the most influential bands in the history of rock and roll.” said Matt Matasci of MXDWN.
