American singer-songwriter, Beck, recently released his song “Die Waiting,” featuring musician and model, Sky Ferreira. This song is the fourth track listed under Beck’s newly released album, Hyperspace, which was released on Nov. 22.
The track begins with a mystic guitar riff. Harmonics are slowly building as the track slowly starts building momentum, the riffs are gaining power, and Beck’s voice leads as the main attraction. The beats match the electronics as it provides power to the strumming guitar, as the chorus nears closer, and closer.
“I don’t care what I have to do,” Beck sings. “Know that I’m gonna wait on you.”
The electronics in the song are the highlight, the techno-like sound brings out Beck’s voice as he soars through the bridge and into the final chorus. The song gives off a nice ’80s vibe, and the katakana written on the album cover, adds the final touch, as the bass guitar finishes off the song.
Recently in an interview with The Sydney Morning Herald, Beck, claimed he was not a Scientologist, stating he has no connection or affiliation with it. In response, actress, Leah Remini, responded by calling his claim a “pussy move.”
“He’s acting like he was never a Scientologist, which is his way of not publicly speaking out and therefore not getting labeled like us and attacked like us,” she said. “Pussy move. You can quote me on that.”
Beck’s new album, Hyperspace, co-produced by Pharrell Williams, is out on all platforms as of Nov. 22.
