The annual Ann Arbor Folk Festival has announced its 2020 lineup. Iron & Wine and Calexico, Ingrid Michaelson and Nathaniel Rateliff are set to perform at the two-day festival in Ann Arbor, Michigan January 31st and February 1st at the Hill Auditorium. Other acts include Mandolin Orange, The Lone Below, Cedric Burnside, Rainbow Girls, Cold Tone Harvest, and Willy Porter, Emcee. See the full lineup below. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased here.

Festival headliners Iron & Wine and Calexico will be heading on the road together for a co-headlining North American tour, set to begin with back-to-back nights at Chicago’s Thalia Hall. Other stops include Toronto, New York, Washington D.C., Nashville, and St. Paul, MN. The tour is in support of their latest collaboration Years to Burn released this year.  Iron & Wine’s Sam Beam and Calexico’s Joey Burns spoke with mxdwn about the collaboration, with Beam saying “To be blunt, they’re not really difficult songs,” said Beam. “They’re fairly straightforward. But Joey brought in a song or two and I brought in some songs and I’m kind of the writer, so I’ll come in and say these are the changes or this is what the map looks like, this is what the script looks like, now how is the scene’s gonna play. Everybody in the room is a character in the scene. They all have their roles that they’re gonna play for this arrangement and it’s not really about going in and achieving the right thing, as it is achieving what we do on that day.”
