Alternative hip-hop artist and producer Aesop Rock just dropped the music video for “Tuesday,” a single off of a collaborative project with TOBACCO, according to Aesop Rock’s Instagram post. The song is off of the self entitled album Malibu Ken, and the video is the third to come out since the release of the album, along with “Corn Maze” and “Acid King”.

The video is centered around the life and death of a moldy piece of cheese that becomes endowed with life. We see the caretaker of said piece of cheese struggle through guiding the cheese through various phases of life, from taking care of the cheese as an infant, to dealing with the cheese’s rebellious adolescent years, and to taking care of the cheese on its deathbed. The eerie visuals pair nicely with the ominous tone of the song, and the curious nature of the caretaker of the cheese-come-to-life will surely be reflected among the faces of the viewers of the video.

The collaboration between Aesop Rock and TOBACCO is an intricate pairing of different lyrical and production styles; both artists have collaborated with several artists in the past decade and change, but their debut album Malibu Ken is the first collaboration between the 2 artists. Drew Feinerman: I have just completed my senior at the University of Michigan majoring in international studies with an emphasis in political economics and development, with a minor in Chinese language and culture, and I have recently been accepted into the Berklee School of Music's masters of music business program. Although my academic interests include economics, political science, and history, I consider music to be my one true passion. Music is, and has always been, a driving force for the way I think and act every day of my life. I have been playing the tenor saxophone since the age of ten, and playing an instrument at a high level has allowed me to only further my understanding and appreciation for music. While I grew up listening to predominantly classic rock, I soon found myself gravitating toward jazz, hip-hop, funk, and other genres, as my learned to both play and analyze music as a listener. As a writer, I am able to apply my skills both as a musician and a listener, and look forward to the opportunity to being able to express my thoughts on various stories in the music industry.
