The Rock Werchter festival in Werchter, Belgium has announced its 2020 lineup featuring Pearl Jam, System of a Down and Twenty One Pilots, who will be performing in Festivalpark from July 2 to July 5. Tickets for the upcoming event go on sale this Friday December 6. More artists are expected to join the lineup in the future.

In the past the festival has entertained its attendees with high profile acts such as Rammstein, Foo Fighters, Radiohead, Arctic Monkeys, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Arcade Fire, Depeche Mode, Blur and The Cure. The festival has been running for several decades, first opening its doors in 1974 where it served a mostly Flemish speaking population, until the festival went more international during the 1990s.

Pearl Jam recently unveiled their “The 12 Days of Pearl Jam,” series which will feature the release of one holiday song every day for the following 12 days on the band’s Spotify. The group’s very first holiday song, “Let Me Sleep (Christmas Time),” debuted back in 1991.

System of a Down will be joining the star studded Hellfest lineup in Clisson, France next year, which will feature the likes of Faith No More and Korn. The band’s drummer drummer John Dolmayan however, provided some feedback regarding the band’s live performances during an interview with Avenged Sevenfold bassist Johnny Christ‘s ‘Drinks With Johnny‘ show.

“I’m gonna be honest with you — we played a couple of shows that I was not proud of recently, because we didn’t put in the practice, and we had, like, a skeleton crew,” Dolyman explained.

UPDATE (12/10): Rock Werchter has announced a new round of artists to its 2020 lineup. The Pixies and Wilco will be playing on Thursday July 2, The Streets will play on Saturday July 4.
