Madlib and Oh No Announce New Album The Professionals for January 2020 Release

Madlib and rapper Oh No have announced a new collab album slated for a January 17 release. According to Pitchfork, the sibling-duo will release their self-titled album under their previously used name The Professionals. In anticipation of the new release, they have also released its lead single “Superhumans,” featuring Elzhi and Chino XL.  Take a listen below. Earlier this year, Madlib and Oh No teamed up for the track “Big Whips,” which was featured on the Gangster Music Vol. 1 compilation from All City Records.

The Professionals will include 13 tracks and will follow Madlib’s collaborative effort with Freddie Gibbs called Bandana, released earlier this year. It spawned the single “Giannis” featuring Anderson .Paak. See the full tracklist for the new album below.

It was recently announced that Madlib will serve as producer for Black Star‘s new highly anticipated LP with release date yet to be announced. Black Star is composed of Talib Kweli and Yasiin Bey (Mos Def). Madlib also collaborated with Wiki on a song called “Eggs.” The producer also mentioned that there is a Mac Miller EP slated to be called Maclib is in existence but no official release has been planned as of now.
