Nine Inch Nails have announced the new vinyl reissue of their 2005 album With Teeth which is pressed on 180-gram vinyl and features remastered audio. The 2xLP was “meticulously prepared” by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross alongside Nine Inch Nails art director John Crawford, “with lots of detail attended to that you may never notice but we care about.”

Reznor and Ross have also announced that their score for the Netflix film Bird Box, which features two hours of music will be included in the 4XLP box set. Both vinyl releases are available now via the NIN webstore. Reznor and Ross scored the David Fincher films The Social Network (2010), The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2011), and Gone Girl (2014), winning the Academy Award for Best Original Score for The Social Network and the Grammy Award for Best Score Soundtrack for Visual Media for The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. In 1997, Reznor appeared in Time’s list of the year’s most influential people, and Spin magazine described him as “the most vital artist in music”.

One can purchase the vinyl album through the Nine Inch Nails webstore, where it’s mentioned that in these times of nearly unlimited access to all music in the world, vinyl has returned to being a priority for the band and not just for the warmth of the sound but the interaction it demands from the listener. The canvas of artwork, he weight of the record, the smell of the vinyl, the dropping of the needle, the difficulty of skipping tracks, the changing of sides, the secrets hidden within and having a physical object that exists in the real world with you. All part of the experience and magic.

Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross of Nine Inch Nails recently won their first Country Music Award for “Old Town Road (Remix)” which won for Musical Event of The Year beating out Maren Morris, Brooks & Dunn, Garth Brooks and Blake Shelton, and Brantley Gilbert and Lindsay Ell. While the song is attributed to Lil Nas X, CMA awards go to both artists and producers, meaning that the rapper shares the award with Reznor, Ross, Billy Ray Cyrus, and YoungKio.

In a recent interview, Reznor confirmed that he and Ross have plans to release Nine Inch Nails material at some point. “Right now, we are finishing up Watchmen, and we’re working on the Pixar film (Soul)that we are doing. And we have plans for Nine Inch Nails stuff, but we haven’t got down to doing it because literally every minute of the day for the last several months has working on score stuff. But the plan is to do stuff, yes.”

In an mxdwn article back in 2015, Reznor describes his passion as, “Music is my entire life. It’s the only thing that I’ve been good at. I love it. I feel like it’s been my best friend. It’s something that has always given me focus, it’s always made me deal with anything, because I have this soundtrack.”

Kelly Tucker: Originally from Los Angeles, I grew up listening to all types of music. My first concert was Aerosmith with Skid Row, then moved on to concerts with Metallica, Lollapalooza, Guns N’ Roses, Soundgarden and more. One of my favorite shows of all time was when I was in college and someone took me to see the Allman Brothers play. I also scalped a ticket to see Pearl Jam and the amazing Eddie Vedder sing his heart out. My professional career started in 2000 at Nielsen Business Media where I was an assistant in a sales department and later got promoted to advertising account executive. When the recession hit in 2008 and the magazine was sold, I took a job at a call center and later got promoted to assistant to the CEO and COO of a global company. In 2017, I took a position at a pharmaceutical agency, and now currently responsible for coordinating meeting logistics for physicians and pharma reps throughout the United States. In my spare time, I work at Peace4Kids a non-profit in South Los Angeles and write screenplays in hopes to make a breakthrough.
