Neil Young May Put All Unreleased Material Online in 2020

Neil Percival Young is a Canadian musician that is all about keeping his audience entertained. After embarking on his legendary music career in the 1960s with the band Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young; he decided to set sail on his own musical adventure. It was clear to fans all over the world that Young was truly a one of a kind artiest. So his following grew over the years and he now has a net worth of over 20 million from his successful career. Young experiences loss and gain like the rest of us though. He recently lost his home in Malibu last year in one of the Southern California wildfires.

Recently a fan wrote to Young expressing that his uncle is struggling and he was afraid that he wouldn’t live to hear all of Young’s unreleased music. Neil then wrote that this situation made him feel upset or rather “Bummed out,” and he wanted to do something about it. The singer has given word that there may be a slew of original material, that he has created, released in the year 2020. It is unclear if this is truly going to happen. Neil also recently released a new album in October titled Colorado. 

Fans have to be subscribed to his personal archives in order to enjoy the possible new tunes at fairly decent price. The archives will have, “tier[s] at NYA, possibly including On-Demand videos, movies and records, plus NYA’s exclusive content for Uncle Eddie’s tier (as yet unnamed),” Young writes. Rolling Stone quoted Young saying, “Your subscription price will be higher for this tier. More changes will be added as we discuss this.”

Also, Young has declared that he is being denied U.S. Citizenship due to his use of Marijuana. This conflict goes deeper than just the denied citizenship of the artist, Young feels it is personal attack against him. In alignment with guidance which is issued by US Citizenship and Immigration Services in April, any applicant who is found to have violated federal law on controlled substances, which includes the plant marijuana, could be found to be unfit for citizenship within the United States of America.

Neil Young has been battling with America on a few different fronts over the past few years. His song “Rockin’ in the Free World”, was played at a Trump rally back in 2016 without Young’s consent. At that time, the Trump campaign responded, “We will respect [Young’s] wish and not use it because it’s the right thing to do.”
