Download Festival Japan Announces 2020 Lineup Featuring My Chemical Romance, Evanescence and In Flames

Japan’s Download Festival has announced its 2020 lineup featuring My Chemical Romance, Evanescence, Jimmy Eat World, In Flames and The Offspring, who will join others at the Makuhari Messe convention center in Chiba on March 29th. This announcement follows the Australian versions of the festival, which will also be headlined by My Chemical Romance, and host appearances from Jimmy Eat World and In Flames.

Past editions of the Japanese Download Festival hosted appearances from many prominent figures in rock and metal including Judas Priest, Slayer, Ghost, Sum 41 and Athrax who performed at the 2019 version of the event. The original fest began in Leicestershire, England in 2003 and branched off internationally within the last decade.

My Chemical Romance announced their reunion last week, which was followed by an announcement that their first show will take place at the Shrine Expo Hall in Los Angeles, California. The band originally broke up in 2013, a month after the release of a compilation series.

Evanescence recently revealed a set of spring 2020 tour dates with Within Temptation called the Worlds Collide tour.“We are very excited to join forces with WITHIN TEMPTATION for what I know will be an epic tour in April,” Evanescence’s vocalist Amy Lee stated.”We’ve had people ask us about doing something together for a long time, and we’re going to make it worth the wait! Looking forward to hearing Sharon’s gorgeous voice every night!”

In Flames recently announced a set of winter 2019 tour dates to conclude this year. This tour will began in Wichita, Kansas, and will end in Dallas, Texas.
