Metal band Killswitch Engage have announced a Spring 2020 tour, in support of their recent album release Atonement, which was released back in August via Metal Blade Records. August Burns Red will be joining in on this tour, which launches on march 10th in Cleveland, Ohio, and finishes up in Boston, Massachusetts on April 12.
The band previously teamed up with Clutch for a set of summer 2019 tour dates during the lead up to Atonement’s release. The band promoted the album with the singles “Unleashed,” and “The Signal Fire,” which saw the band’s current and former lead vocalists sing together in the accompanying music video.
“Overall, Atonement is a great record because it is filled with harmony and metal music.,” mxdwn reviewer Cait Stoddard explained. “Most fans and listeners will enjoy this record because it will satisfy their thirst for metal music and perhaps they will enjoy knowing Killswitch Engage is not going anywhere anytime soon.”
The band formed in 1999 in Westfield, Massachusetts and released their self-titled debut album in 2000. Their 2004 The End of Heartache, however launched the band into their first taste of commercial success, reaching number 21 on the Billboard 200. Their recent release debuted at number two on the Billboard Top Album chart, number 13 on the Billboard Top 200, and once again number one on both the Top Rock and Hard Rock Album charts.
August Burns Red are a band which originated in 2003, who are based out of Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Their most recent album Phantom Anthem was released back in 2017.
