Mayhem & Abbath Announced for Decibel Magazine Tour 2020 Dates

Decibel Magazine has announced its 2020 headliners for their annual tour. According to Brooklyn Vegan, Norwegian black metal bands Mayhem and Abbath are dubbed as the headliners, which is set to kick-off March 13th in Denver, Colorado. Other West and East coast stops include San Francisco, San Diego, Houston, Tampa, Atlanta, New York, and Toronto before concluding April 10 in Chicago, IL. Additional acts have yet to be announced but the tour will also include a stop at the annual Decibel Metal & Beer Fest in Philadelphia, where both bands will play alongside Converge, Pig Destroyer, Napalm Death, Satan, Idle Hands, and many more. Tickets for the tour will go on sale Friday, November 8th at 10am local time. See the full list of tour dates below.

2020’s edition will mark the festival’s ninth one, with previous lineups including High On Fire, Skeleton Witch, Cannibal Corpse, Morbid Angel, Kreator, and Obituary.

Mayhem recently released their sixth record Daemon and spawned three singles prior to its release including “Of Worms and Ruins” “Worthless Abominations Destroyed” and “Falsified & Hated.” The album was mixed by Tore Stjerna, mastered by Thomas Johansson at The Panic Room.

Co-headliner Abbath released their sophomore LP Outsrider earlier this year, featuring nine tracks with a cover of fellow band Ballory’s “PACE TILL DEATH.” It follows the release of their self-titled debut album in 2016.
