Ellen Allien Announces North American Fall 2019 Tour Dates

Ellen Allien the DJ, musician and label manager who specializes in electronic music has announced fall tour dates. Described as a visionary who looks to the future for inspiration, this creative musician has traveled the globe as a DJ playing at every major club on the circuit and festivals from Europe to South America. Allien has created various solo albums and has an extensive back catalog of singles, EPs and remix work.

Allien recently released Allientronic, a brooding techno album off her own BPitch Control record label. This is the Berlin techno artist’s tenth album release over a span of 18 years which began with the release of her 2001 album Stadtkind. In a press release from earlier this year, the conditions in making the album were such, “The LP was recorded during the cold winter months in Berlin at the end of 2018, a time when creativity hits a peak in the city. Sub-zero temperatures and dark nights keep the artists locked away indoors, finding time and space to journey inwards and tap into the deepest recesses of their creative energy.”

Allien recently released a new music video for “Free Society,” off of her latest album Alientronic that was released this past May. She released her new EP, Alientronic Rmxs 2 on September 27 which features reinterpretations of album tracks by Alien Rain, Shlømo, Hector Oaks and Fjaak. Allien holds residencies at Circoloco at DC10 (Ibiza) and Nitsa (Barcelona) with regular bookings at clubs: Fabric (London), Shelter (Amsterdam), The Block (Tel Aviv) and Mondo (Madrid). She also runs her own bi-monthly ‘We Are Not Alone’ raves at Griessmühle in her hometown Berlin. She has channeled her vibrant energy at festivals, including Exit (Serbia), Off Week Sonar (Spain), Melt! (Germany), Kappa Futur Festival (Italy) and more.

In her role as head of BPitch Control, and new label UFO Inc., Allien seeks out and nurtures new talent. She also worked on remixes for seminal labels like Warp and Mute over the last year. Ellen’s leadership at BPitch Control, has provided a standing as one of the most important platforms for underground electronica.

Kelly Tucker: Originally from Los Angeles, I grew up listening to all types of music. My first concert was Aerosmith with Skid Row, then moved on to concerts with Metallica, Lollapalooza, Guns N’ Roses, Soundgarden and more. One of my favorite shows of all time was when I was in college and someone took me to see the Allman Brothers play. I also scalped a ticket to see Pearl Jam and the amazing Eddie Vedder sing his heart out. My professional career started in 2000 at Nielsen Business Media where I was an assistant in a sales department and later got promoted to advertising account executive. When the recession hit in 2008 and the magazine was sold, I took a job at a call center and later got promoted to assistant to the CEO and COO of a global company. In 2017, I took a position at a pharmaceutical agency, and now currently responsible for coordinating meeting logistics for physicians and pharma reps throughout the United States. In my spare time, I work at Peace4Kids a non-profit in South Los Angeles and write screenplays in hopes to make a breakthrough.
