Guns N’ Roses surprised fans with their performance of song, “Dead Horse” from their 1991 album, Use Your Illusion I at their Oklahoma City show on October 23, 2019. The band last played the song live back in July 1993. Gun N’ Roses rock legends, Axl Rose, Slash and Duff McKagan are busy wrapping up the leg of their “Not in This Lifetime…Tour” which has become one of the highest grossing tours of all time.

The band is three and a half years into their tour and Slash confirmed in an interview with TVK’s Rock City earlier this year that the band is working on new material. “Axl, Duff, Richard [Fortus] and myself have all talked about … there’s material and stuff going on already for a new record,” he said. “Basically, the only real answer to give is we’re hoping to put a new record out, and we’ll just see what happens when it happens.” The last album that Rose, Slash, and McKagan all worked together on was 1993’s The Spaghetti Incident.

At their October 7 show, they played “Locomotive” from the Use Your Illusion II album. According to Stereogum, Guns N’ Roses haven’t played that song live since 1992, a year after the double album was released. The Guns N’ Roses setlist is built around their large catalog of hits, but they’ve added in older songs like, “Out Ta Get Me” and “Shadow of Your Love,” in addition to the Velvet Revolver tune “Slither” and covers like Soundgarden’s “Black Hole Sun,” Glen Campbell’s “Wichita Lineman” and The Who’s “The Seeker.”

The group took a long break after wrapping up the previous leg of the tour at Hawaii’s Aloha Stadium on December 8, 2018, but picked up again last month to hit a handful of festival dates and arena gigs in Lincoln, Nebraska, and Jacksonville, Florida. The tour wraps up with two shows at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas in early November and will resume in March 2020 with their Lollapalooza shows in South America.

Lollapalooza Brasil will be launching its ninth festival this year in São Paulo, Brazil, at the Autódromo de Interlagos from April 3 to April 5 2020. This festival will feature Guns N’ Roses, Travis Scott, The Strokes, Lana Del Rey, Martin Garrix and Gwen Stefani as headliners for the festival.

Kelly Tucker: Originally from Los Angeles, I grew up listening to all types of music. My first concert was Aerosmith with Skid Row, then moved on to concerts with Metallica, Lollapalooza, Guns N’ Roses, Soundgarden and more. One of my favorite shows of all time was when I was in college and someone took me to see the Allman Brothers play. I also scalped a ticket to see Pearl Jam and the amazing Eddie Vedder sing his heart out. My professional career started in 2000 at Nielsen Business Media where I was an assistant in a sales department and later got promoted to advertising account executive. When the recession hit in 2008 and the magazine was sold, I took a job at a call center and later got promoted to assistant to the CEO and COO of a global company. In 2017, I took a position at a pharmaceutical agency, and now currently responsible for coordinating meeting logistics for physicians and pharma reps throughout the United States. In my spare time, I work at Peace4Kids a non-profit in South Los Angeles and write screenplays in hopes to make a breakthrough.
