The Maynard James Keenan led Puscifer have teased few updates on social media, showing a few shots in the studio, which reveal that the band is working with actress Esmé Bianco of Game of Thrones and The Magicians. They have also further hinted at a 2021 release date for their new album, which was hinted at earlier last month.
“Doing a little something something in the studio #puscifer2021 @puscifer @carinaround,” Bianco wrote on social media, confirming her role in some of the band’s new recordings. In addition to her role as an actress, Bianco is also a model, voice actress, neo-burlesque performer and DJ.
The band’s Instagram post shows various guitars in the middle of a studio, with band member Mat Mitchel shown in front of a microphone. Both Mitchel, and Carina Round, were tagged in the post, and were also member’s of the band’s previous touring line-up.
Puscifer has a revolving line-up, with Keenan serving as the only permanent member of the project, which he originally formed back in 1995. Previous members have included former Ministry bassist Paul Barker,former Rage Against The Machine drummer Bradley Wilk, members of Telefon Tel Aviv and Nine Inch Nails and Alessandro Cortini.
Keenan has been touring with his experimental metal band Tool for most of 2019. The band released their most recent studio album Fear Inoculum earlier this year after a 13 year hiatus.
