Magic Sword Share New Song “Lady of Light” and Announce Fall 2019 Tour Dates

Electronic trio, Magic Sword have shared a new song entitled “Lady of Light,” from their latest EP Awakening, which is set to be released this Friday, October 25 via Joyful Noise Recordings. The band’s musical members are only known as known only as The Keeper, The Seer, and The Weaver (who are also referred to as the three Immortals), although they are represented by The Harbinger in their comic book adaptions and social media interactions.

“Lady of Light,” fits in perfectly well with the band’s synthwave style, with steady synth buildups, and retro sounds that create a nostalgic atmosphere. The instrumental is backed by a strong bassline throughout, and a steady beat that make it sound ready for a nightclub in space.

“Dire need has been answered by the Three Immortals. Tayia has chosen to embrace the endless power of the Magic Sword and now sees the truth of the universe laid bare before her eyes,” the Harbinger stated on social media. “She now has become one with the ultimate weapon. The essence of cold righeousness has begun to bloom. This is the Awakening.”

The band released their debut album Magic Sword Vol. 1 in 2015, via Tender Loving Empire, the band also debuted an EP entitled Legend in 2016 via Size Records. The group is known for keeping their public identities secret, and portraying themselves as a sci-fi themed trio with their costumes and aesthetics.

During live performances the three are donned in masks, and assorted lights that channel their love for science fiction and space. These performances also host a variety of props such as lasers, to even some lightsaber replicas, referencing the deep lore tied to their music and comic book spin-offs.
