Alice Cooper Announces Spring 2020 Ol’ Black Eyes Is Back Tour Dates with Lita Ford

Rock legend Alice Cooper will be launching his fall 2019 tour later this month, and another spring 2020 tour, which will follow next April. Prominent heavy metal guitarist Lita Ford will be opening the spring 2020 dates for Cooper next year, which will begin in Peterbrorough, Ontario Canada, and finish up in Portland, Oregon.

These shows are a continuation of the “Ol’ Black Eyes Is Back” tour which debuted earlier this summer. This tour was also ahead of the performer’s co-headlining tour with Halestorm, which featured the band Motionless In White as the openers for these performances. Cooper has also released a trailer in anticipation of these recent tour legs.

Ford was best known as the lead guitarist for the influential all-female rock band The Runaways, which debuted back in the 1970s. Since the band broke apart, the performer has been a prominent performer in her own right, and has embarked on a successful solo career.

Cooper released the 10″ EP Breadcrumbs earlier this year, which was inspired by Detroit’s burgeoning punk scene in the late 1960s and the early 1970s. This latest EP was known for its eclectic mix of classic Detroit garage rock, Motown and soul, that blended in the diversity of the city.

“With help from some of Detroit’s rock royalty, Cooper creates a unique EP, highlighting the city’s rich musical tradition. Melding R&B, shock rock, Motown funk and soul, with a lot of rock and roll, Breadcrumbs is in some ways a tribute to the city,” mxdwn reviewer Maya DeWakar explained. “Each song is either about Detroit or written by Detroit musicians who are also featured on the EP. Reflecting on the past, but with an original Alice Cooper sound, the rock star sets the stage for 2020 and beyond.”

UPDATE (1/21): Alice Cooper has expanded his 2020 tour into the summer. He’ll be joined by Lita Ford for these dates as well, plus a couple shows with BLUE ÖYSTER CULT. Check out the full list of dates and flyer below:
