Puss N Boots Announce New Christmas Album Dear Santa… for October 2019 Release

A new Christmas album, Dear Santa… from Puss N Boots, features amazing singer/songwriters, Norah Jones, Sasha Dobson and Catherine Popper. The new album will be released on October 25, 2019. One of the tracks, “Christmas All Over Again” has a down-home feeling, with guitar strumming and all three women offering up their beautiful voices in unison. They create holiday cheer through their authentic vocals and straight edge harmonies in this track. Lyrics like, “I’m going to hold myself instead of someone else. I’m going to take my hand and be my own best friend. I’m gonna love myself instead of someone else this Christmas.” The lyrics are long and move in a country-folk fashion against the guitar.

On the new album, Dear Santa… Jones is on vocals, electric guitar, and drums, while Dobson is featured on vocals, electric guitar, mouth horn, chimes, and drums; and Popper on vocals and electric bass. The 5-song set includes four new holiday originals plus a live version of the traditional holiday classic “Silent Night.”

Puss N Boots first formed in 2008 and their style as Americana, country, folk, pop and rock became an outlet for Jones, Dobson and Popper to switch instruments, allowing them to showcase a different side of themselves than on their various solo and side projects.

They made a full-length album,  No Fools, No Fun (Blue Note) which is comprised of originals and covers, studio recordings and live performances. The group has appeared at festivals like Clearwater Festival, Green River Festival, and the Newport Folk Festival, and they opened for Neil Young during his tour in July 2015.

Earlier this year, Puss N Boots performed “The Grass Is Blue” at the Grammy MusiCares charity event honoring “Person of the Year” Award recipient Dolly Parton. Last month they released an Amazon Original cover of “The Grass is Blue.” The Puss N Boots Christmas Extravaganza, their annual NYC holiday show will take place at Music Hall of Williamsburg in Brooklyn, New York on December 20. Tickets are on sale now here. The show is 18 and over and tickets are going for $25.00. The band will be performing two shows, November 21-22, 2019 in Hamden, Connecticut and then a show in Woodstock, New York before their Christmas Extravaganza in Brooklyn.

Kelly Tucker: Originally from Los Angeles, I grew up listening to all types of music. My first concert was Aerosmith with Skid Row, then moved on to concerts with Metallica, Lollapalooza, Guns N’ Roses, Soundgarden and more. One of my favorite shows of all time was when I was in college and someone took me to see the Allman Brothers play. I also scalped a ticket to see Pearl Jam and the amazing Eddie Vedder sing his heart out. My professional career started in 2000 at Nielsen Business Media where I was an assistant in a sales department and later got promoted to advertising account executive. When the recession hit in 2008 and the magazine was sold, I took a job at a call center and later got promoted to assistant to the CEO and COO of a global company. In 2017, I took a position at a pharmaceutical agency, and now currently responsible for coordinating meeting logistics for physicians and pharma reps throughout the United States. In my spare time, I work at Peace4Kids a non-profit in South Los Angeles and write screenplays in hopes to make a breakthrough.
