Ozzy Osbourne Once Again Postpones 2020 European Tour Dates

Ozzy Osbourne is still recovering after a rough year, which began with a bout of pneumonia in February, and suffering from fall a couple of month’s later. These two incidents combined forced the performer to cancel all of his scheduled 2019 tour dates, and the singer has announced that he will be postponing his 2020 European tour as well, to give himself more time to recover.

His fall earlier this year dislodged the steel rods that were placed inside him, which helped him recover from a 2003 ATV accident that almost took his life. He described the pain that stemmed from his recent surgery as “agony,” beyond anything else that the singer has sustained during his nearly 50 year long career as a performer.

“For the first, say, four months, I was absolutely in agony,” Osbourne stated in an interview with Rolling Stone. “I was in agony beyond anything I ever experienced before in my life. It was awful. I’m taking physical and occupational therapy classes, but the progress is very slow. They say it’s going to take at least a year. I’m hoping that I’ll be OK and ready to go by January [when the tour resumes]. I’m really keeping my fingers crossed.”

While Osbourne has delayed his latest tour, this recent bout has not kept him out of the studio, as he has announced that he has finished his latest studio album, which was produced by Post Malone producer Andrew Watt. The performer was also featured on Post Malone’s recent studio album Hollywood’s Bleeding, on the song “Take What You Want,” which became the performer’s first top ten hit in over 30 years.
