Chance the Rapper canceled his show at The Forum in Inglewood, due to a radius clause and took to Instagram to let his fans know so they could get refunded. “When I rescheduled my tour to spend more time with the family, I scheduled a date that isn’t actually doable… My L.A. show is now Rolling Loud Fest,” he said. Tickets are refundable and Chance explains in the video how fans can get refunded if purchased through a 3rd party vendor.
A radius clause is an agreement between performers and music venues to not perform at competing venues/events within a certain physical distance for a certain length of time before and after a show. Chance just launched a tour in support of his album “The Big Day,” is set to perform on day one of the Dec. 14-15 Rolling Loud hip-hop festival at Banc of California stadium.
The original date for his show at the Forum was scheduled for Sept. 16, which didn’t impact the radius clause. However, the rescheduled date, which was to be Jan. 16, went afoul of it. Chance is encouraging his fans in L.A. to come see him at Rolling Loud, which also includes performances by Lil Uzi Vert, Future and A$AP Rocky.
