Electronic New York-based duo, Matt and Kim, debuted new single with an accompanying music video for their latest track, “GO GO” this past Thursday, October 3rd. This month, Matt and Kim are gearing up to commemorate the release of their sophomore breakout album 2009’s GRAND with the announcement of GRAND 10 Year Celebration Tour performing the album in its entirety. According to a press release, the tour will feature “…hits ‘Daylight’ and ‘Lessons Learned’ plus fan favorites, some which they’ve never played live before. What was said of the band back then – ‘Matt Johnson and Kim Schifino have established a hard-won reputation as a raucous live juggernaut’ (NPR) – holds true today as the tour-loving Brooklyn two piece continue to incite non-stop dance parties at every venue they play. And that’s just how they intend to celebrate with fans across the U.S. this Fall.”
The music video for the vibrantly upbeat electronic dance tune “GO GO” embodies Matt and Kim’s infectiously fun sound. The video features a choreographed dance routine in the form of the teenage versions of Matt and Kim played by Romeo Blanco and Audrey Lane Partlow, respectfully. As previously reported in the press release, Blanco and Partlow, “…together brought some next level energy to the new track. Audrey, who is 15 years old, choreographed the moves, the video was created, directed, shot and edited by Matt.”
To kick off the tour, Matt and Kim recently took part in a stylish collaboration. The press release concludes that the duo “… also teamed up with CHI-FLO to design a limited edition ‘Good Ol’ Fashion Nightmare’ tour jacket which will be available at the shows and online starting Monday, October 7 here. ”
