Peter Murphy Announces Rescheduled Tour Dates for New York City Residency

Vocalist Peter Murphy, who is a founder of the pioneering goth band Bauhaus has announced several rescheduled tour dates for his planned New York Residency at the (Le) Poisson Rouge in New York City. Murphy had postponed the remaining dates following a heart attack that occurred back in August.

A couple of weeks after the heart attack, it was announced that Murphy was expected to make full recovery. “Following my recent episode in New York City with my heart attack and being admitted into Lenox Hill Hospital and seeing myself go through the rigors of intensive care, I am very happy to say that I have made a full recovery. Thanks to the superb team of doctors, specialists, nurses and care staff. I am so glad to say I am up and running again,” Murphy wrote upon his recovery.

Murphy will be performing his greatest hits on night one, “Mr. Moonlight” which showcases the hits of Bauhaus the next night, and then two tributes to David Bowie the last two days.

Despite the heart attack, Murphy has announced a Bauhaus reunion show with original members Daniel Ash, Kevin Haskins and David J, who will reunite at the Hollywood Palladium, in Los Angeles, California. The band have reunited several times since their original break up back in 1983, with the first reunion taking place in 1998 for their 20th anniversary tour, and an appearance at Coachella in 2005, which was followed by a subsequent tour and a tour opening for Nine Inch Nails. During their reunion in the mid 2000s, the band dropped their fifth and last studio album Go Away White in 2008.
