Kanye West Holds Jesus Is King Event and Announces Documentary, Doesn’t Release New Album

This past weekend was a blur for most of us but not for Kanye West, who hosted two listening parties for his newest album. Rapper, designer, and producer Kanye West is once again breaking the internet, this time with a smile on his face. This weekend West had a listening party at United Palace Theatre on Sunday in New York City, for his upcoming album Jesus is King.

Before the album was heard two videos were shown to the audience. The first video contained an angelic ambiance where West was depicted to be larger than life. In that video, West stated, “When you’re an artist, you’re spiritually free”, while he discussed building a perfect society. The second video was a teaser of the IMAX film Jesus is Lord, staring West at his Sunday Service. The IMAX film will be arriving on October 2019. Alcohol was also unavailable at the listening party, and there were sweatshirts being sold to the cell phone less audience for $140.

Kanye’s newest unreleased album has been waived around in the faces of fans for quite some time now. On August 27th, 2019, Kim Kardashian West, Kanye’s beloved wife, posted a photo of the album song list. She teased fans that the album would be available on September 29th, 2019. This unfortunately was not the truth and the album did not come out on that date. Many people are enthusiastically excited to listen to the new album, that is said to be mostly Gospel music. Below is the leaked album cover for Jesus is King.

Unfortunately, the album still needs some adjustments and is not being released at this time. West has been known to push back his albums in order to place last-minute changes so the album is perfect. The pressure build is a genius way to start a buzz for profit generation, but when you’re Kanye West it isn’t even necessary to have this strategy, one would think. One person that attended posted a video of the party onto Twitter, saying “This is one of Kanye’s best albums.” Kim then retweeted it onto her twitter and the internet started to bite its nails in search of the album. The album will be delayed again and there is no news on when the release will happen.
