Pop artist Halsey has announced a new set of winter 2020 tour dates on social media, in preparation of her upcoming third studio album Manic, which will be released next January. The performer will begin her tour dates in Madrid, Spain, and will finish in Manchester, UK, taking stops in Paris, Amsterdam, Munich and London’s The 02 Arena, with Manchester indie group Pale Waves opening her shows. .
Prior to her album announcement Halsey released a new single entitled “Nightmare,” which took a darker, more political approach to her music. The performer has described this upcoming album as a new “Marilyn Manson–inspired goth record,”
“That’s the problem: I’ll do what I want, knock down everyone in my path who says I shouldn’t, and then when people don’t like it, I’m like, ‘Why?!’” she explained in an interview with Cosmopolitan. “When I made ‘Nightmare,’ there were people saying, ‘I don’t think this is the move. You just had a number one song and now you’re gonna put out this weird, political song that’s not safe.’ Well, yeah, that’s why I’m gonna do it.”
