The Bourbon and Beyond music Festival was held at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville, Kentucky this past weekend. The event included performances by some of the biggest names in music including, Hall & Oates, ZZ Top, Keith Urban, Leon Bridges, and the Foo Fighters. But fans in attendance for Squeeze’s set were in for a special treat, Foo Fighters front man Dave Grohl joined the band during their song “Black Coffee In Bed”, a track taken from their fifth album Sweets From A Stranger. Grohl aided the group on percussion before he was spotted watching the pop rock duo, Hall & Oates, who were the headlining act for Saturday night.
This isn’t the first time Dave Grohl has made a surprise appearance on drums, earlier in the year he joined The Bird and The Bee on a performance during the Late Show with James Corden. Grohl and the group covered the Van Halen classic, “Aint Talkin’ Bout Love,” to help promote the Bird and the Bee’s upcoming album. As well as headlining the Bourbon and Beyond Festival on Friday night, the Foo Fighter’s also released their live EP titled, Live at Roswell. The live EP will coincide with the planned Area 51 raid and will feature seven songs from the bands performance at the Walker Air Force base in Roswell, New Mexico in 2015.
British rock band, Squeeze, has been touring the United States with help from The Might Be Giants, X & The Mavericks, KT Tunstall, Marshall Crenshaw, and Leon Tilbrook. The American leg of their “The Squeeze Songbook 2019” tour wrapped up last night in Atlanta, Georgia. The band is going to embark on a European leg of “The Squeeze Songbook 2019” tour starting in Ireland on October 13th.
