Knotfest Colombia, the festival that Slipknot founded in Iowa and Wisconsin in 2012, has announced their 2019 lineup, and it is filled to the brim with heavy hitters. Slipknot will be headlining the entire festival as usual, with major metal bands all over each and every other stage. The Knot Stage will be headlined by Behemoth and Testament, W.A.S.P. and Accept will be the top billing on the Carnaval Stage, and the Alternative Stage will be shared by a gang of smaller acts (A.N.I.M.A.L, Carnifex, Koyi K Utho, Poker, Gutgrinder). This festival will be taking place in Bogotá, Colombia on December 6th, roughly a week after the Mexico iteration of the festival.

Slipknot released their sixth studio album, We Are Not Your Kind, just a few weeks ago, and the band’s frontman Corey Taylor has recently been teasing some upcoming solo material. The new album debuted at #1 on the Billboard Top 200 with over 100k units sold, marking another win in a long list of commercial successes for band. Hopefully, the group will perform a wide range of classics, new stuff, and maybe even preview some of Taylor’s solo work.

Matthew Jordan: I grew up in Massachusetts, but I am currently a student at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. I picked up my first musical instrument (viola) in the 3rd grade, and have been a fan of everything the medium has to offer ever since. Some of my favorite artists right now include Matt Maltese, Idles, MIKE, Benny the Butcher, Standing on the Corner, Built to Spill, and Frank Ocean. I also love following the charts and the music business to see what is connecting with listeners and why.
