Trentemøller Releases New Song “Try A Little” Featuring Jennylee of Warpaint

Trentemøller takes a stab at futuristic indie music, and nails it! The Danish composer’s long-awaited album, Obscure, is about to drop and audiences everywhere aren’t ready for the renaissance he is bringing. Trentemøller  is an electronic indie composer from Copenhagen, Denmark. His new futuristic album transcends the norm of instrumentals, truly setting the bar higher for artiest’s. “Try A Little” by Trentemøller Featuring Jennylee of Warpaint, was posted today on Youtube and is ready to flood audiences with feelings of enlightenment. The video is another tease of the composer’s fifth album Observe, which is set to out on September 27 via Trentemøller’s own label In My Room.

“Love lies under it all, under it all. Try a little, work a little, be a litte bit more, for me.” –Trentemøller Featuring Jennylee of Warpaint

The video itself is a kaleidoscope of passionate colors. Throughout Jennylee’s trance-like vocals and Trentemøller incredible mashup of sound, the lyrics express the reality of expectations. With the Subliminal undertone that sometimes we set our expectations too high of others. Jennylee is mainly associated with the genres of art rock, dream pop and new wave music. Where as Trentemøller is known for his low-fi electronic ambient, indie style music. The song itself, without vocals, would have been fantastic but it is clear that Jennylee is the cherry on top of this sonic banana split Trentemøller has crafted; she gives it a tasteful dream-like aptitude. Jennylee has produced thoughtful, powerful music for years with the band Warpaint, an all female band with class and style. There is an undertone of drama that Jennylee brings on the song that keeps the tone exciting and releasing at the same time. We don’t have to understand what is going on with the music, we need to lose ourselves in the music and Trentemøller has given audiences music to do just that. Escape from the social norms and fall into the story of the song.

A psychedelic trip into the mind of the misunderstood is visually captured in the new music video, “Try A Little”. Jennylee stars in the video as the Goddess of color’s. The visual animations are truly artistic and perfect fit for our modern age. Trentemøller has given a variety of insight into the new album, Obscure, because it was intended to be a purely instrumental album. When Trentemøller finally decided that he wanted to expand the album to include extremely talented artiest’s like jennylee, the album became heavenly. The future of music is now, and Trentemøller has brought us mindful, well thought out, beautiful music to the forefront of musical conversation. Anticipation for Trentemøller‘s long awaited album Observe, which is set to out on September 27 via Trentemøller’s own label In My Room, continues to build.

Amber Flynn: Nothing beats writing. I'm from the town of Thousand Oaks, fighting for my dream. Traveling the world, and living in tough situations broadened the horizon for my thinking. I started my education after public high school at an Adult School. I wanted to receive my certificate in Physical Therapy. Eventually, I received my certificate and it motivated me to want to help more that just an individual. Continuing my education at Moorpark College, opened my eyes to the possibility of a career in Literary Arts. After receiving my Associates Degree in English, I sent out applications to many colleges. After being accepted to ALL of the colleges I applied to, I had to make a decision. I am now a student at Loyola Marymount University, and I also work part time at a Law Firm editing legal documents.
