WEBCAST: Watch The Raconteurs Livestream Sold-Out Three-Night Run at Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, TN

The Raconteurs have announced that they will be live streaming their sold-out three-night performances at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, TN this Labor Day weekend. These performances will take place on August 29, 30, and 31 and can be streamed below.

These live streams are further supported with the recent launch of the Third Man Records live archive audio program. This program will share rare live recordings of prominent Third Man Records artists, and with this content becoming available on music streaming services as well as a-la-carte downloads, Hi-Res, MQA, and CDs.

New shows will be uploaded on what are being called “Third Man Thursdays,” the third Thursday of every month. Some of the material released today includes a never-before-heard White Stripes show from 1999, The Raconteurs 2006 UK Tour (9 shows), The Dead Weather’s 2009 Mayan show in Los Angeles, and Jack White’s 2012 solo live debut.

The band’s most recent album Help Us Stranger was a huge commercial success, landing at number one on the Billboard charts earlier this year. Four singles supported this album “Sunday Driver” / “Now That You’re Gone,” “Hey Gyp (Dig The Slowness),“ “Help Me Stranger,“ and “Bored and Razed.”

While the album was a success commercially, mxdwn’s Arnim Whisler found it lacking in some lyrical aspects stating:

“Instrumentally, the album contains everything you could ask for in a Raconteurs record: White’s expressive guitar playing, thundering drums and bass, vocals with attitude and a little bit of oddness sprinkled in. But as a whole, Help Us Stranger runs into the problem that many albums do: it lacks a standout. Sure, many of the aforementioned songs are good, but outside of the context of the album, they aren’t particularly interesting, especially lyrically.”
