Show Me The Body’s Logo Becomes Ubiquitous Street Art in New Video for “Drought”

Show Me The Body have released a new DIY video for “Drought,” off of the group’s latest album Dog Whistle, who was released on Loma Vista Recordings. This latest video, shows the band’s three coffins logo being spread across the globe, in various manners via street art, and was posted on the Corpus YouTube page, which caters the New York hardcore scene.

The “Dought,” video  was composed entirely of footage submitted by fans from various places, including the US, Russia, Sweden, Malaysia, London, and France. This hard hitting track  showcases the band’s hardcore style, and is every bit as aggressive as you’d expect it to be.

Dog Whistle has received praise for its unique take on the hardcore genre, with their lyrics taking on poignant issues, in a way that many fans can understand without having to be heavily involved with the hardcore genre. This project tackles issues such as police violence, the environment and the hardships of the economically disadvantaged in a loud, abrasive manner. In a press statement, the band dedicated this message stating: “Thank you to all the kids all over the world who risked their freedom to help us spread a message of freedom and love.”

“Show Me the Body is at the forefront of a movement, and while that movement may not have truly started and may never include anyone beyond Show Me The Body, that hardly matters,” Drew Pitt, a mxdwn reviewer explained. “Anyone who claims to give a damn about experimental or extreme music absolutely owes it to themselves to give this a listen. This album is a masterpiece full stop, most albums this year will be playing catch up.”
