mxdwn PREMIERE: Eskmo Dives Deep into Paranoia for New Song “Who Killed Bryce Walker” from Official Score of 13 Reasons Why Season 3

Season three of the hit Netflix show 13 Reasons Why features a killer soundtrack (that’s out tomorrow) with songs from JR JR, The Decemberists, Twin Shadow, HEALTH and more. One of the artists featured on the soundtrack is electronic artists Eskmo. He’s also the composer of the show’s score and today we’re pleased to premiere one of its tracks “Who Killed Bryce Walker.” In addition to the season 3 original soundtrack being released, the original score soundtrack by Eskmo will also see release this Friday, August 23 on Paramount Music.

“Who Killed Bryce Walker” is a moody piece is the second song off of the score. It begins with pulsating synth lines and distant, clanging percussion that sets a mood fitting of the song title and the show’s evolution into a dark murder mystery. As the song progresses the synthesizers begin to spiral and contort as the drum beat becomes increasingly ominous.

Not only did he create the score for 13 Reasons Why Season, Eskmo has also scored the Showtime program Billions. The Los Angeles based performer has released records on labels such as Ninja Tune, Warp, Planet Mu and Interscope while working with artists that range from Amon Tobin to Selena Gomez. In 2017 he released the score for 13 Reasons Why Season Two.
