Mike Watt and Members of Wire Are Officially FITTED, Announce New Album First Fit for October 2019 Release

Mike Watt of the Minutemen along with Graham Lewis and Matthew Sims of Wire and  Fearless Leader drummer Bob Lee  originally formed FITTED over two years ago as a one-off performance show. Today however, the band has announced that they will be teaming up once again to produce an entirely new studio album entitled First Fits, which will be released on ORG Music on November 8th.

This new album is set to host six new tracks, and will clock in at over 38 minutes long. The band has also debuted a new single entitled “Training Pit Bulls For The Navy,” a noisy new track that showcases the band’s ability to sound both raw yet surprisingly well balanced.

This isn’t the first group Watt has formed in recent years, earlier this month he announced a new band called Jumpstarted Plowhards with F.Y.P and Toys that Kill guitarist and vocalist Todd Congellie. Their new album entitled Round One will feature guest appearances by Patty Schemel and George Hurley, and is set to be released on October 4th.

Other members of Wire such as Colin Newman have also formed other side projects, with Newman starting Immersion, an instrumental project with Malka Spigel of Minimal Compact. Their debut album Sleepless was released last year, and held features from Matt Schulz and Hexenschuss.
